Factors To Consider Before Buying Double Sink Vanities

At first, I was hesitant about installing a modern double-sink bathroom vanity. But after actually using it, I realized it's fantastic.

Before buying a double-sink bathroom vanity We need to consider the following factors

1. Size Of The Sink

What’s the size of the 2 sinks? There are standard measures of the different sink sizes, and they play a vital role in this case. Now that you want two sinks in your 48-inch vanity, their size would be critical in how well they fit in.

Perhaps you opt to work with two sinks of size, let's say, 20 inches wide, they will occupy up to 40 inches, leaving you with only 8 inches of space for the faucets.

If you consider other fixtures that might be put in place, honestly, that space might not be enough either, and this is why it is paramount to be conscious of the sink size.

2. Counter Space

How much counter space you need will play another significant role in determining whether or not a double sink 48-inch vanity is ideal for your bathroom. Installing 2 standard sinks would leave you with less space for other items, especially with multiple users.

Remember, there are must-have items in your bathroom, like

body routine products, soaps, toothpaste, toothbrushes, and more.

Therefore, let the level of the counter space you need guide you in making the right decision. If you need more space, having two sinks would be challenging, and vice versa.

3. Storage For Your Toiletries And Towels

We all know a 48-inch vanity has a single cabinet or two smaller cabinets under the sink. You may want two sinks, which makes the storage space significantly smaller.

It becomes such a problem when you realize you have enough storage space for your stuff. As a result, you will experience challenges storing essentials such as toiletries and towels. The situation becomes worse when you don’t have shelves and drawers.

4. Layout Of Your Bathroom

The amount of space available and the general layout of the

bathroom are also to be considered. If you have enough space for the 48-inch vanity with 2 sinks, that is pretty okay, as opposed to a bathroom with limited space and an inappropriate layout.

A bathroom with limited space means inadequate clearance space for doors to open and users to walk around, which is also essential. Therefore, let at least 30 inches of clearance be in front of the sink for comfort.

From my perspective, I like to buy double sink vanities, I think it is convenient. Not disturbing each other if family members use the sink at the same time. There is no mixing of male and female things. I feel very comfortable. If there are children in the future, it will become more convenient. This is very suitable for families.
